It has been seven years since The Amity Affliction released their debut album, Severed Ties.
Severed Ties was the breakthrough record for The Amity Affliction as it catapulted the relatively unknown Brisbane band into a national touring act. The band have since completed extensive tours around the world and recently have wrapped up their first headlining tour of the US, with many shows selling out in advance, as well as headlining the inaugural UNIFY Gathering amongst a string of sold out regional shows around Australia.
Severed Ties was released in October 2008 and debuted at #28 on the ARIA chart - a huge achievement for the band and a revelation for the Australian music industry at the time.
